Area Support Team
The Area Support Team has been devised by our current Area President, Ian Price. It is a strategy to help clubs in the area to get support from a group of like minded people who want to assist and breathe new life into the clubs in our area. Rather than just visit, as a token gesture, it is designed to bring bulk to a club's meeting, and the synergy that comes from several people combining their resources.
The strategy is simple, it provides a real helping hand to clubs who are grateful for a little bit of support. It does this by providing key personnel at meetings, so that life gets easier for the club, the meeting is more attractive to both existing and new members, and the helping hand can turn the club’s fortunes around. This support can be available not only for a specific meeting, but for several meetings, alongside some additional support in internet and other marketing as required. In other words, a welcome boost, whilst ensuring the club retains full control of its destiny and personality. The AST are clearly NOT part of any commercial, quasi-commercial or other venture merely ASC members doing their best to help ASC clubs. Indeed the AST are not a closed group merely random people at a given time willing to help other clubs but in a co-ordinated and loosely planned way in order to maximise the impact.
